My role within this project was multi-disciplinary. The scope included UI Design and Prototyping, Icon Design, Site Design, Brand Identities, Manuals and Merchandise.
Application UI — Initially supplied with an Alpha release of the application, I worked closely with the Orion Safety Consulting Team to develop a new User Interface. I wanted to make it easy for users to navigate the software and get accustomed to it quickly, so I designed a UI with a clean layout and contextually relevant iconography. I integrated all assets into the prototype with a constant line of communication with my client along the way to adjust the design to meet the feature set of the software.
Website — To be released alongside SAIPH, a responsive website was needed to not only showcase new and future software and services, but to provide a point of contact for the company and searchable help features. The client help section is built using a CMS system making it easy to change and add information as the software evolves.
Visual Brand — Orion Safety Consulting required a brand identity for both their company and through a processes of discovery, sketches and iteration, my solution was to create an abstract symbol representing the Orion constellation.
Application Logo — I felt that the SAIPH logo should reflect the qualities of the application. So I developed a logotype for the product representing the simplicity and strength of the software. This logotype is used throughout all materials relating to the product.
Manuals — User and Technical Manuals were to be supplied to end users as PDF download and physical form if required. I created both manuals along with clear, easy to understand diagrams.
Tools Used — Adobe Photoshop, Adobe InDesign, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe XD, Webflow
Scope — Illustration, Brand Identity, Logo Design, Graphic Design, User Interface Design, Web Design, Editorial Design
